Every year, thousands of patients from the UK, Europe, the US and the Middle East travel to Istanbul for a <\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 1rem;\">nose job<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-weight: 400; font-size: 1rem;\">. But alongside many excellent results, you&#8217;ll also find stories of rushed surgeries and disappointing outcomes. So, is it safe? The honest answer: <\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 1rem;\">it can be very safe, if you choose the right surgeon.<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-weight: 400; font-size: 1rem;\"> Here&#8217;s how to do that.<\/span><\/p><h2><strong><span style=\"color: #136d7d;\">Why Is Rhinoplasty in Turkey So Popular?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2><ul><li><strong>Experienced surgeons:<\/strong> Turkish surgeons perform a very high number of rhinoplasties, and many are internationally trained and certified.<\/li><li><strong>Modern techniques:<\/strong> ultrasonic (piezo) and preservation rhinoplasty are widely available.<\/li><li><strong>Lower cost:<\/strong> <strong>rhinoplasty cost in Turkey<\/strong> is significantly lower than in the UK or US, without lower standards in the right clinic.<\/li><li><strong>Easy travel:<\/strong> Istanbul is a short flight from most of Europe and the Middle East.<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong><span style=\"color: #136d7d;\">How Much Does a Nose Job Cost: Turkey vs UK and US<\/span><\/strong><\/h2><ul><li><strong>Turkey:<\/strong> in my practice, <strong>$2,900\u2013$3,500<\/strong> for a primary rhinoplasty in 2026, with packages that include hotel and transfers<\/li><li><strong>UK:<\/strong> typically around <strong>\u00a35,000\u2013\u00a38,000<\/strong> in private clinics<\/li><li><strong>US:<\/strong> often <strong>$8,000\u2013$15,000<\/strong> or more, including anaesthesia and facility fees<\/li><\/ul><p>The lower price in Turkey reflects lower operating costs, not a different operation. It depends on four things:<\/p><ol><li><strong>The surgeon&#8217;s training and specialty.<\/strong> Rhinoplasty is one of the most complex facial operations. Look for a surgeon who specialises in the nose, such as a <strong>facial plastic surgeon<\/strong> or <strong>ENT (ear, nose and throat) surgeon<\/strong> with rhinoplasty training. ENT surgeons are trained in both the appearance and the breathing function of the nose.<\/li><li><strong>Board certification.<\/strong> Ask about national and international certification. I am certified by the Turkish ENT Board and the <strong>European Board of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>The hospital.<\/strong> Surgery should be performed in a fully equipped, accredited hospital with an anaesthesiologist present.<\/li><li>You should know who will see you after surgery, who removes your splint, and how follow-up works once you go home.<\/li><\/ol><h2><strong><span style=\"color: #136d7d;\">Red Flags to Avoid<\/span><\/strong><\/h2><ul><li><strong>You don&#8217;t know who will operate.<\/strong> Always know your surgeon&#8217;s name and speak to them before surgery.<\/li><li><strong>Several operations in one day by the same team<\/strong> with very little time for each patient.<\/li><li><strong>A very low price<\/strong> that seems too good to be true.<\/li><li><strong>No consultation or assessment<\/strong> before you arrive, only a sales agent.<\/li><li><strong>Pressure to book quickly<\/strong> with time-limited &#8220;discounts&#8221;.<\/li><li><strong>Only one hotel night<\/strong> planned after surgery. You need around 7\u201310 days in Istanbul.<\/li><li><strong>No clear plan for follow-up<\/strong> after you return home.<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong><span style=\"color: #136d7d;\">Questions to Ask Before Booking<\/span><\/strong><\/h2><ol><li>Who will perform my surgery, and what is their specialty?<\/li><li>How many rhinoplasties do you perform each year?<\/li><li>Which technique do you recommend for my nose, and why?<\/li><li>Will my breathing be assessed and treated if needed?<\/li><li>Where will the surgery take place?<\/li><li>What is included in the price?<\/li><li>How will follow-up work after I go home?<\/li><li>Can I see before-and-after photos of noses similar to mine?<\/li><\/ol><h2><strong><span style=\"color: #136d7d;\">What About Breathing?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2><p>A beautiful nose that doesn&#8217;t breathe well is not a good result. Many patients have a deviated septum or enlarged turbinates without knowing it. As an ENT surgeon, I always assess breathing and correct it during the same operation when needed.
