Chin Liposuction vs Endolift vs Fat-Dissolving Injections<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>

There are three main ways to treat a double chin today: liposuction<\/b>, Endolift laser<\/b> and fat-dissolving injections<\/b>. I offer both liposuction and Endolift in my Istanbul practice, and I often recommend one over the other. The right choice depends on two things: how much fat you have, and how firm your skin is.<\/p>

Chin liposuction<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

How it works:<\/b> fat is removed through a tiny incision under the chin with fine cannulas.<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Best for:<\/b> moderate to large fat deposits with reasonably good skin<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Sessions:<\/b> one<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Downtime:<\/b> about 5\u20137 days<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Result:<\/b> immediate fat removal, final shape at 3\u20136 months<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Lasting:<\/b> removed fat cells do not return if your weight is stable<\/p>

Endolift laser<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

How it works:<\/b> a very thin laser fibre is placed under the skin through a needle entry. It melts small amounts of fat and stimulates collagen, so the skin tightens.<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Best for:<\/b> small fat deposits, mild skin laxity, patients who want no incision<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Sessions:<\/b> usually one<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Downtime:<\/b> 1\u20133 days of mild swelling<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Result:<\/b> gradual, improving over 3\u20136 months as collagen builds<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Lasting:<\/b> long-lasting, but skin continues to age naturally<\/p>

Fat-dissolving injections<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

How it works:<\/b> a substance such as deoxycholic acid is injected into the fat to break down fat cells.<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Best for:<\/b> small, well-defined fat pockets<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Sessions:<\/b> usually several, a few weeks apart<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Downtime:<\/b> swelling for several days after each session<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Result:<\/b> gradual, after the full course<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Lasting:<\/b> treated fat cells don’t return<\/p>

Which one is right for you?<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>A lot of fat, good skin:<\/b> liposuction gives the clearest result in one session.<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>A little fat, slightly loose skin:<\/b> Endolift is often the better choice.<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Fat and loose skin together:<\/b> liposuction combined with Endolift can tighten the skin while removing fat.<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Very loose, hanging skin:<\/b> none of the three is enough on its own; a neck lift may be needed. Read when to combine chin liposuction with a chin implant or neck lift<\/a>.<\/p>

How much does each cost?<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>
